Little bird was singing his heart out in a Sycamore Tree at the Library.
Painted with Yarka Original Watercolor Set while experimenting with 9x12 Fluid Watercolor Block.
Inexpensive paper with a nice feeling. Lots of umbers, cadimuns, russian green and Siennas.
Dropped in faint background of Prussian Blue with a touch of cadimum and burnt Sienna

Found this beautiful seagull on the railing at River Street, Savannah, GA.
He/She was camera sky, promptly started to fly when I pointed my camera.
Watching from high above, and mingling with earthlings below, these beautiful birds seem almost all-knowing.
This one was lovingly painted with umbers, colbalt, cadmiums and love.
The background of prussian blue and yellows was added last (after the bird was dry, so that it didn't bleed, althought
that might have been interesting!)

Flora, Fauna, Shells, Feathers, Leaves, Sticks and Nature's treasured, sometimes overlooked Gifts.
This is the little blue crab that got away. Wonderful to paint in his beautiful array of ultra marine blues,
reds and yellows. Tideous because he has eight legs and very little space to place them.
Drawn partly from reference, partly from memory (when I used to eat them, YUK!) and mainly from imagination.
Sketch crab, transfer it to arches watercolor paper, paint the main body of the crab, add claws and legs and lastly
a faint, delicate background of russian blue and lemon yellow for variety. He's done! (not in the pot, but on paper) Enjoy!
